Wirtshaus zum Seppl
Historic student tavern at Hauptstrasse 213, now part of the Kulturbrauerei and currently available for private events only.
According to the operator, students and townspeople were already meeting at the Wirtshaus zum Seppl in the late 17th century. Guests sit among historic photographs, drawings and enamel signs at heavily carved wooden tables. The tavern now belongs to the Kulturbrauerei Heidelberg ensemble; beer was already brewed on this site in the 18th and 19th centuries. At present the Seppl can only be booked for events such as parties and special occasions. Send enquiries to the Kulturbrauerei.
