International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg

One of the oldest film festivals in Europe (since 1952) - a platform for young directors and independent cinema, screened in Heidelberg at the Karlstorkino.

The International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg is one of the oldest and most renowned film festivals in Europe. Since 1952 it has shown the work of young directors and independent films from around the world each November - in Heidelberg above all at the Karlstorkino and the Stadthalle.

Getting to Heidelberg

  • Train: Heidelberg main station (ICE/IC stop, about 10 min by tram to the Old Town)
  • Car: A5/A656 - the P12 Altstadt-Mitte or P5 Kornmarkt parking garages
  • Local transit: trams 5/21/24 or buses 33/34 to the Old Town
  • Funicular: from Kornmarkt up to the castle and the Königstuhl
