Philosophers' Walk
The famous hillside path on the Heiligenberg with the finest view of the Old Town, the castle and the Neckar valley - inspiring poets and thinkers for centuries.
The Philosophers' Walk runs along the slope of the Heiligenberg opposite the Old Town. Hegel, Goethe, Hölderlin and Mark Twain all strolled here. From the little Philosophers' Garden the iconic view opens up over the castle, the Old Bridge and the rooftops of the Old Town - especially striking at sunset.
