District
Pfaffengrund
Heidelberg's 1920s garden city - a planned settlement in the style of Hellerau, with green courtyards and a cooperative tradition.
Pfaffengrund was laid out from 1921 as a planned garden city on the English model. Terraced houses with their own gardens, squares lined with lime trees and the distinctive 'Erdbeerpolt' logo of the former cooperative house still shape the district today. An island of gardening between industry and the motorway.
