About Heidelberg-Interaktiv

Heidelberg-Interaktiv is an independent city portal for Heidelberg and the surrounding region. We bring together in one place what visitors and locals really want to know about Heidelberg: attractions, hotels, restaurants, districts, events and the cultural life around the castle, the Old Bridge, Germany's oldest university and the Philosophers' Walk. Our goal is a fast, clearly labeled overview instead of confusing link lists.

Our editorial standards

Every attraction, hotel and restaurant is selected editorially and described in our own words - not pulled automatically from directories. We apply transparent criteria: relevance to Heidelberg, location within its district, price orientation and an honest assessment of who a place is worth it for. We check opening hours, price anchors and similar details to the best of our knowledge, but cannot guarantee they are current - in case of doubt, the provider's official source always applies.

How we select content

Our selection follows a curated approach: we include places that define Heidelberg or are practically useful for a stay - from the castle and the Old Town to the districts and major occasions like the Castle Illumination or the Christmas market. The order and prominence of entries reflects editorial judgment, not paid placement.
